Sometimes we go with what we know. Other times we follow our soul. That's exactly what happened when he heard other DJ's mixing on the radio and on mixtapes for the first time. The cutting, the scratching and the pure music, hit his soul. While other DJ's were only DJ'ing to be "popular", he was in love with the actual art of of DJ'ing. In 2001, DJ LA began performing all throughout Michigan and hyping up crowds in clubs all over the Midwest. With over a thousand shows and events under his belt, he became one of the hottest DJ's in Michigan. Hard work and winning the station's mixer battle in 2004 earned him his first mix show here on WSNX (as DJ Latin Assassin) which aired on Sunday nights. In 2005, he had to walk away from that show for the only thing more important to him than music, a new baby daughter. In 2008, DJ LA gained weekly residencies at both The Whiskey Lounge and SIXX Nightclub with Edge Entertainment. Now in 2009, 104-5 WSNX welcomes DJ LA back to the stations line-up each Friday night from midnight to 2am. Mondays-The Whiskey Lounge-College Night-Top 40 Tuesdays-The Whiskey Lounge -Bike Night 80's and 90's Music Friday's -DJ LA mixxing on 104.5 WSNX's Still Bumping Show from Midnight till 2am ,Hosted by Holmes and the Feak show.
